I would suggest just running the McAfee removal utility from Krusty13's post above. then and only then is McAfee gone and its safe to crack on with something else... Users who have received the MS13-036 update should, if possible, not reboot the PC before uninstalling the faulty fix.This was not the first Microsoft update to cripple customers' computers.
